This is your chance to be taught by one of the top Lincoln Douglas debate coaches in all of Stoa. Griffith Vertican’s students have made it to the final round of nationals six times, and have won the national title four times, including back-to-back in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022.

This class will focus on how to become a top Lincoln Douglas debater and improve your LD debate skills. It will train students in skills including how to write better cases and applications, better use of evidence and cross-examination, and voting issues that work well with your cases. It will include unique strategies such as reverse writing your cases based on where you want the rebuttals to end up, as well as overall framework and LD strategies that have helped Coach Griffith coach the top LD students in the nation. From writing top 1ACs to writing top 1NCs, this class is essential for LD students looking to qualify for nationals or win at the highest level.
